Adobe CMS connector used for integration with other content repositories and for content migrations
Hilversum, September 20, 2016 – Xillio, provider of the Content ETL Platform, introduces the new Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) connector. By making this connector available, Xillio is again increasing its capacity to effectively manage unstructured content and making this content available for other systems or processes. The connector is used when organizations want to export content from AEM or want to import to AEM in case of a migration. In addition, the Xillio connector is used to make content from AEM available for business processes, such as search, translations and the integration with other content management systems.
Export and import
The AEM connector includes both an import and an export connector so that it can be used to migrate to Adobe Experience Manager when it's the target system or from AEM when it's the source system. The connector exports all components (including structure, versions, relationships, links, files, and images) from Adobe Experience Manager. The import connector allows for content from another web content management system or from an older version of AEM to easily and without loss of quality be imported into the new AEM system.
Because of the utilization of Xillio’s Unified Data Model, the structure, content types, versions and values are transferred correctly. Also, relationships, links to other pages, files and images are reconstructed in the new system.
Connector collection
Rikkert Engels, founder and CEO of Xillio, said: “In our portfolio of more than 20 connectors, we already have multiple connectors to content repositories, such as OpenText, Alfresco, SharePoint, file share and many more. By adding the AEM connector to our list, we are moving closer to our corporate goal: Making information interoperable and available for various business processes."
Unified Data Model
All connectors developed by Xillio are based on the Unified Data Model (UDM). The UDM is used by Xillio “underwater” as a temporary UDM to ensure that different content repositories can be connected to each other and that the content from these sources is exchangeable with each other. This also ensures that the content sources can be easily integrated into business applications.
Xillio is the leading content migration company in the world. We provide technology and services to help organizations get the best value out of their content, regardless of where it resides. Xillio is a Microsoft Content AI Preferred Partner.
