Multiple language versions of Lenovo’s website were hosted on different servers around the world and ran on two separate management systems, a custom CMS and Lotus Notes. The two management systems needed to be consolidated into one CMS.
Inventory of content on all websites, created mapping sheet, and added metadata to product taxonomy. After the transformation, the pages were imported into TeamSite.
A central CMS with new search functionality, and a simplified websites management process. This led to an increase in user experience.

The Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese, Russian, French, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, and English versions of the website ran on a custom CMS. The Japanese website used Lotus Notes. The goal of Xillio’s project was to consolidate the two management systems into one centralized web content management (WCM) system based on TeamSite. TeamSite is an enterprise WCM system developed by Interwoven.
